Xpir tracks lab and floor expiries, monitors your fridges, and matches Health Canada recalls against what is actually on your shelves. Tested in more than a hundred pharmacies and cosmetics stores before becoming a module of the Pharmaflow platform.
The problem, plainly
Expired stock is found too late, at the counter or during a count. The loss is already taken, and the gap is already documented. Fridge monitoring happens on a sheet taped to the door, filled in from memory when nobody has time. And when a recall arrives, somebody has to walk the shelves one by one without knowing whether the product is even in stock.
What Xpir does
Expiries, lab and floor
Scan the product, enter the date, get the alert on the lead time you set yourself. Two separate lists, because the lab and the floor do not move at the same pace or answer to the same people.
Refrigerators
Timestamped temperature readings, kept in history, with the excursion protocol built in: when the temperature leaves the range, the app says what to do and records what was done.
Recalls matched to your stock
A published recall does not necessarily concern you. Xpir compares it with your actual products and tells you whether you are affected, on which lot, and in what quantity.
Suppliers and returns
Tracking of what goes back to the wholesaler or the manufacturer, with the credits expected and the ones that never arrived.
On the floor
Xpir runs on two interfaces doing the same work at different moments. The mobile app, on iOS and Android, belongs to the team: scan, record a temperature, check an alert, standing up, between two patients. The web interface, on tablet or desktop, belongs to the owner and the manager: dashboards, threshold settings, reports and exports.
Standard pharmaceutical barcodes are recognised, including the formats that carry lot and expiry date. When the code contains them, manual entry disappears.
The number that matters
The only meaningful measure is value recovered against value written off, every month. Xpir calculates it and shows it to you. A product spotted three months before its date can be returned, moved, discounted or sold. The same product spotted on its date gets thrown away.
What connects behind it
| Module | What it adds when activated alongside Xpir |
|---|---|
| PharmaConseil | Avoided losses and credited returns flow into lab accounting instead of vanishing into an inventory variance. |
| Organization and Quality | A temperature excursion or a recall automatically opens an assigned task, with a due date and proof of closure. |
For inspection
Every reading, every alert, every action leaves a timestamped and attributed trace. When you are asked to demonstrate that the cold chain held or that a recall was handled, you produce a report instead of reconstructing a story.
