Twenty-five years building tools for healthcare, first in Europe, today from Quebec. Here is what we built, what we kept from it, and what comes next.
2009 to 2019, the device and patent years
Ten years designing and registering measurement and diagnostic devices for pharmacy, dermocosmetics and front shop advice, under our Skinlabs France operation. That is where we learned regulatory work the only way it is properly learned: by taking our own products in front of the authorities.
Our skin and hair measurement lines come from that period, along with Facelabs and the patents that go with them.
2016, ACTeRX Academy
Training becomes an activity in its own right. ACTeRX Academy prepares pharmacists trained abroad for Canadian equivalence examinations, and delivers continuing education to pharmacy teams. The programmes have evolved since, alongside the requirements of the professional colleges.
2023, everything consolidates in Quebec
Skinlabs France closes and the whole of the activity, the know-how and the intellectual property transfers to Quebec. The centre of gravity becomes North American: Health Canada and the US Food and Drug Administration, with the European market held in memory rather than at the base.
2026, Pharmaflow launches
What we learned on the floor becomes a product: a modular platform that equips community pharmacies exactly where they lose time and money. Organization and quality, container content verification delegation, medication circuit, human resources, lab accounting, and Xpir for expiries, fridges and recalls.
The principle: one module at a time, installed without changing everything, and designed to produce the traces an inspection demands.
2028, RxPilot is planned
Hearing screening, guided dermocosmetic advice, cosmetics customer relationship and shelf level product intelligence. RxPilot extends and replaces uPilot, and brings the measurement device heritage of the Skinlabs years back into the pharmacy.
What this history gives you
We are not a consultancy that has read the regulations. We designed products, filed our own dossiers, sat through our own inspections and absorbed our own refusals. When we tell you a procedure will not hold in front of an inspector, it is because we have already been on the other side of that table.
Patents and earlier products
The technologies developed during the European years remain our property and continue to feed our current products. Xpir, today a module of the Pharmaflow platform, is the most direct example: born from the need to trace dates and lots, it was proven in more than a hundred pharmacies and cosmetics stores before being integrated.
